ArtzPlace Oklahoma is a 7,600 square foot state-of-the-art facility which was featured on the 2009 Oklahoma Architects Tour. Designed by Michael McCoy and built by Clark Construction, it is a visual masterpiece. What really makes it special though is not the plaster and paint but the people. The artists, teachers and staff genuinely care about expanding the horizons of others through the arts.
ArtzPlace began in 1999 as Studio Mid-Del under the guidance of director Aarone Corwin, who had a vision for a creative arts center to serve residents in Eastern Oklahoma County. Today, ArtzPlace Oklahoma has students from all over central Oklahoma, providing education in visual and performing arts from newborns to seniors.
The gallery features rotating exhibits by many groups, including the Colored Pencil Society and the Fiber Art Design Group. Events such as the Second Sundays Series introduce art to young Oklahomans in fun and creative ways and specific areas are available for use by community groups.
We hope that you support our effort to make a difference in the lives of Oklahomans by donating to and participating in the programs of ArtzPlace Oklahoma.
Sincerely,
Nancy Bagby Nortz
